Alot of people have asked about character generation, and I've finally decided. Not so much because I don't trust anybody, but because I want to be sure everyone's equal, make a character entirely from the PHB 3.5. Use a 25 point point-buy. Just in case somebody's confused...
All stats start at 8. Then, to raise it to a certain number, it costs as follows:
So, if you want an 18 in, say, Dex, you spend 16 points and are left with 9 in your pool for the other 5 stats. We're just using the basic six of Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma.
Also, for those who are curious, it's a fairly high-magic world. Street lamps are powered by a Light spell, things like that. And it'll be fairly city-based, at least at first. Your actions determine where it goes, but it'll start in a large(r) city and probably stay there for a while. And, unintelligent undead are... not quite "common," but widely used by upper-class and the magocracy for labor, and are at worst accepted as a part of life. Intelligent undead, though, are usually viewed as a threat and aren't as openly present or accepted.
